Referral Tiers and Discounts Explained
The five referral tiers, the discounts each unlocks, and which plans they cover.
Five tiers, climbed automatically as your referral count grows. Nothing to claim or activate. Both Freelancer and Business accounts climb the same five tiers at the same referral thresholds.
The five tiers
| Tier | Referrals needed | Your discount | Discount for people using your code |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 5 | 10% | 12% |
| Bronze | 10 | 15% | 14% |
| Silver | 25 | 20% | 16% |
| Gold | 50 | 25% | 18% |
| Platinum | 100 | 50% | 20% |
Below 5 referrals you have no tier, but your code still works and gives 10% off a first purchase, provided your account is an active Business Account.
Discounts require an active Business Account
The discount columns above only apply if you hold an active Business Account. Freelancer accounts still climb tiers and build a referral count, but neither their own-purchase discount nor their code's discount for others becomes active, since both are tied to holding a paid Business Account. Commission, covered below, works differently and does not have this requirement.
Which plans your discount covers
Your own discount widens as you climb (Business accounts only):
| Tier | Plans your discount applies to |
|---|---|
| Starter | Business Account Monthly |
| Bronze | Business Account Monthly, Weekly Ad |
| Silver | Adds Business Account 3 Months and Monthly Ad |
| Gold | Adds Business Account Annual |
| Platinum | Everything, including Featured Ad |
At Starter your 10% covers the monthly plan only. At Platinum your 50% covers every plan and every ad type.
Commission is separate from tiers
Unlike the discount percentages above, commission is not tied to a tier - it is a flat percentage of what the referred person actually pays, credited from your very first successful referral. See how commission and cashing out work for the rates and how the coins convert to Bitcoin.
Why your discount grows faster than theirs
Deliberate. It keeps the program sustainable at the top tiers while still rewarding the people bringing the most businesses to Hirevers most heavily.
The rules
Your discount needs an active account
An expired Business Account means your own discount stops applying.
Your code always works for others
Regardless of your own account status, though the discount only applies while your Business Account is active.
Renewals do not count
Only a person's first Business Account purchase.
Higher tiers unlock payouts
Estimate your earnings
See the referral calculator to estimate your coins and dollars at any referral count and tier, for both Business and Freelancer accounts.
Checking your progress
The Referral page shows your tier, how many referrals until the next one, and your coin balance.
