Job Alerts and Email Preferences
Get new jobs that match your skills by email, push, and the bell, and choose which emails you receive.
Hirevers can tell you about new jobs that fit your skills, so you do not have to check the Jobs page every day.
How job alerts work
Once a day, Hirevers compares jobs posted in the last 24 hours with the skills on your profile.
One email a day, at most
Sent only when something matches, with up to five jobs and a link to the rest.
In the bell
Matching jobs from the last seven days also show up in your notifications.
As a push alert
If you allowed push notifications, the same alert reaches you when Hirevers is closed.
Getting better matches
Add your skills
Go to Edit Profile and add at least three skills you actually work with.
Use the suggested names
Hirevers suggests standard names as you type, such as React or Node.js. Matching works best with these.
Keep them current
Remove skills you no longer want work in. Alerts follow whatever is on your profile.
Which emails you receive
| Always sent | Optional |
|---|---|
| Account and sign-in alerts | Daily job alerts |
| Payment confirmations | Weekly saved search digests |
| Job applications and replies | Tips and updates from Hirevers |
Turning optional emails off
From any optional email
Click Unsubscribe at the bottom, then confirm on the page that opens. Gmail and Yahoo also show their own unsubscribe button, which works the same way.
From your profile
Open Edit Profile and use the checkbox Email me job alerts and Hirevers updates in Links and Contact. Tick it again anytime to turn emails back on.
Important emails still arrive
Unsubscribing stops job alerts, saved search digests, and updates. Emails about your account, payments, and applications are still sent.
