Portfolio Requirement for Services

Why every service listing needs a portfolio, how the 15-day grace period works, and what happens if you miss it.

Listing a service on Hirevers requires at least one portfolio project. Businesses want proof of work before they reach out, so this keeps listings meaningful for everyone.

You are not blocked from publishing, though. You get time to add your work.

The rule in one line

One portfolio project keeps your services visible. Five portfolio projects earn you the verified badge. Those are two different thresholds.

The 15-day grace period

You publish a service with no portfolio

The service goes live immediately. Nothing is blocked.

A 15-day countdown starts

We email you when it begins, so you know the exact deadline.

You upload one project

The countdown stops. Anything hidden becomes visible again automatically.

How the rules work

Your situationWhat happens
You publish a service and already have a portfolioNothing happens. No countdown, no email.
You publish your first service with no portfolioService goes live. 15-day countdown starts and you get an email.
You publish a second service while still without a portfolioIt follows the deadline already running. The clock does not reset.
You upload a portfolio at any pointThe countdown stops. Hidden services come back automatically.
The deadline passes with no portfolioYour services move to draft and stop appearing publicly.
You delete all of your portfolio projectsServices go to draft right away, with no new grace period.

Deleting your portfolio does not reset anything

The rule cannot be worked around

Deleting every portfolio project does not restart the grace period or free your services from the requirement. If your account drops to zero portfolio projects, your services move to draft immediately, with no new 15 days.

The requirement is on the account having at least one published project, not on having had one at some point.

Nothing gets deleted

Draft means hidden, not gone

Your title, description, price, and images stay exactly as you left them. Upload a portfolio project and everything returns on its own, with nothing to recreate.

If your service disappeared

Check My Services. If a service shows as draft, a missing portfolio is almost always why. Go to My Portfolio, add one project, and it comes back.

The better approach

Upload before you publish

Skips the countdown entirely, and it is what businesses look at first anyway.

Aim for five projects

Five published projects qualify your profile for automatic verification.
